Note the ‘a’ after ‘electronic’. This isn’t your normal electronic stuff (Daft Punk, M83 etc.), more the realm of trance and house. I’m not the biggest expert on this in the world, but as someone hoping to go to Tomorrowland Festival 2014, I’d like to think I know a decent amount. The Top 20 Tracks of 2012

I’m not going to try and be pretentious or indie with this. I’m going to break what seems to be a mortal sin in the world of music blogging: I’m going to accept that some of the songs that have given us the most enjoyment over the past year have come from the POP genre. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the list.

This song is a solid juxtaposition between an upbeat pop sound and rather negative lyrics about an immigrant struggling to keep up with life in the United States economy.
